Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
- 2. 1/2 teaspoons rose water
- few drops cochineal (red food colouring) (optional)
Preparation
- Boil sugar and water, then stir in the lemon juice. Continue boiling until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Drop the red food colouring (optional) and rose water in slowly and continue boiling for a further three to five minutes.
- Store in glass bottles and dilute when necessary.
- Serve with ice cubes and a sprig of mint.
