Italian Green Beans with Onion

Ingredients
4 servings
- 450 gr (1 lb) tender green beans
- 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely diced
- salt and pepper
Preparation
- Wash the green beans and then clean them eliminating the extremities.
- Fill a stockpot with water and bring to boil. Add a pinch of salt, the green beans, and boil for about 5 to 10 minutes, or until the green beans will be tender. Drain in a colander
- In a skillet put the olive oil, and turn the heat to medium. Add the onion and saute until tender and translucent
- Add the green beans, salt and pepper, and saute for about 5 minutes. Serve lukewarm
