Ingredients
4 servings
- 1 kg (32 oz) green beans
- 750 g (24 oz) stew lamb cutlets
- 1/2 tsp ground pepper
- 2 tbsp shortening or butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 cups water
Preparation
1. String the green beans, snip off the ends, snip each into two, wash and drain.
2. Fry meat with shortening over medium heat till brown. Season.
3. Stir in green beans for 15 mn on low heat.
4. Add water, salt and pepper. Cover and cook on medium heat until boiling.
5. Lower heat. Continue cooking until beans are tender. Serve hot accompanied by cooked rice.
