Every city has its own ingredients, markets and culinary stories. Find the Sook & Cook experience that fits your journey.
We don’t simply hand you a recipe. We introduce you to the people, ingredients and traditions behind it — then bring everything together in the kitchen.
Cross the Strait for a different kind of Tangier day trip — built around food, culture and participation.
The market visit made the whole experience. We learned about the spices and ingredients before heading back to cook, so by the time we sat down for lunch, we actually understood the food we were eating. It felt personal, relaxed and genuinely local.
Walking through the food markets of Fes with someone who could explain what we were seeing and tasting was fascinating. Cooking afterwards brought everything together. We came away understanding Moroccan food and Fes a little better, not just with a few new recipes.
We came over from Spain for the day and wanted to experience Tangier differently. Exploring the souk, discovering the ingredients and then cooking our own Moroccan lunch was exactly what we were looking for. It felt much more personal than simply moving from one attraction to another
We had taken cooking classes before, but starting in the souk made this feel completely different. We learned about the spices, picked out fresh ingredients and then used them in the dishes we prepared. It was relaxed, hands-on and one of the highlights of our time in Marrakech.
A Sook & Cook experience connects travelers with local food culture through markets and cooking. Our signature experiences combine exploring a local souk or food market, discovering ingredients and culinary traditions, hands-on cooking with a local host, and sharing the meal together.
Sook & Cook goes beyond the kitchen. Instead of simply following a recipe, our signature experiences introduce you to the markets, ingredients, people and traditions behind the food. The journey is simple: explore, discover, cook and share.
You typically begin by exploring a local souk or food market, meeting vendors and discovering fresh ingredients, spices and local food traditions. You then head to the kitchen for a hands-on cooking workshop before sitting down to enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared.
Our signature Souk-to-Table experiences include a market or souk visit whenever appropriate. We also offer other culinary experiences, including cooking classes, food tours, tastings and private experiences, so inclusions vary by experience.
Both options may be available. Some experiences are designed for small groups, while others can be booked privately for couples, families or groups of friends. Each experience page clearly shows the available booking options.
